Video Games Tax Relief Claims
Video Games Tax Relief (VGTR) is a tax relief incentive specifically designed to support UK based game developers. VGTR helps you reclaim the costs of developing new video games through generous corporation tax reductions or payable cash credits provided by the UK government.
We have a wealth of experience in structuring, calculating and maximising VGTR claims, whether they be via the main company or via a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV). Advance planning for VGTR is key in order to maximise claims.
Research and Development Claims
Research and development (R&D) tax incentives are a form of tax relief to incentivise UK companies to invest in innovation. R&D claims can reduce your tax bill or you can claim payable cash credits as a proportion of your R&D expenditure.
This is a complex area and one that is coming under increased scrutiny by HMRC. We have vast experience in preparing robust R&D claims for studios where certain spend may not qualify under VGTR.
